Meet Ray Reuter

Ray Reuter is the owner of Kaizen, Inc., a training, consulting and personal development company. "Kaizen" is a business philosophy meaning continuous improvement. Ray brings this philosophy of continuous, ongoing improvement to individuals and organizations by providing high performance training, personal development and coaching processes aimed at improving leadership, management, teams and personal effectiveness.

Ray specializes in leadership development, team skills and team development, self-mastery, life and business coaching, personal accountability and responsibility, business planning and sales training.

The outcome is unfettered potential within people and organizations to maximize results— at work, at home, in all aspects of one's life.

Prior to becoming a successful entrepreneur and creating his own company, Ray spent 20+ years with American Express Financial Advisors both at the corporate office level and in the field. Ray was an instrumental part of growing American Express' presence as a financial planning company in the 1980's, and was part of a 30-person Design Team in the early 1990's to restructure and reengineer the company for the future. Ray's passion was in developing people to be their best. Ray created a leadership development and training program for new field leaders at American Express, and developed a Leadership Academy program for leaders of non-profit organizations.

Ray leveraged his financial planning expertise and training skills by heading up American Express' sales force based in Overland Park, Kansas. His broad role included recruiting and training new financial advisors, coaching and developing experienced financial advisors to grow their practice, and overseeing compliance, operations and marketing. Ray taught advisors how to sell, market and become emotionally competent in their role as financial advisors. Ray supported over 130 financial advisors as a field leader. Ray continues to conduct a 2-day Advisor College for American Express to help new advisors get their business off to a successful, strong start.

Ray is a certified 360 Solutions consultant. 360 Solutions provides high performance programs and workshops such as High Performance Leadership, Developing High Performance Teams, The Trust Factor, Self-Mastery and Positive Impact. Ray is also certified with Touchstone International, and is the Area Director for these personal development tools for the state of Kansas and the western half of Missouri.

Ray's “Becoming Complete: A Journey toward Self-Mastery” process consists of two retreats and ten accountability sessions. Becoming Complete is designed to help people wake up to the possibilities of their life, to live life with purpose and passion, and teaches principles of emotional maturity and personal empowerment.

Ray is also part of the national faculty for CARQUEST University, CARQUEST's mid-level management and leadership development program.

Ray frequently speaks and delivers workshops for groups on topics such as Communication, Trust, Self-Mastery, Personal Accountability and Positive Impact: How to Be the Person Successful Companies Fight to Keep.

Ray is happily married to Julie, his wife of over 20 years. Julie and Ray work together raising their five boys.
